today 20th december 2010 , marks our 2 years wedding anniversary . phhheww ....

two years seemed so fast but i have still yet to know much about my husband . well , every day i am learning .
this was exactly what happen two years ago .

we definitely went through the ups and downs of a normal marriage but we still survived because of what else but LOVE . to all who awaits for a baby from us , thank you for all your prayers but we both are just not ready to have one now .

to many years ahead of togetherness , we shall be . ameen .

TANGS !

When i heard the news from a customer that Tangs won the Best Dressed Building in town , i was definitely surprise and a sudden feeling of proud was all in me . ( haha !! as if im the one who did it ) but tell me how could you not , when you yourself are working in that building !

Thats also the reason why there's so many people taking shots of photographs everywhere , every single corner of Tangs . im not exaggerating here , do come down to TANGS to see for yourself ! the colourful , cheery colour of Tangs would probably one of the reason why they won . Big congrats from me .  and because of that , Tangs offered a one day special of 10% yesterday .

the traffic jam have already started and it gets worst especially on a weekend . and you will be able to see a lot of people carrying their gadgets just to take shots of the very beautiful background . just dont forget to pop by to Tangs ;)

how often do you go to beauty parlor to have your eyebrows trimmed ?

ive done threading , yes .

the normal plucking and shaving , also .

my brows got way too much out of shape and i thought of heading to Shu Uemura's counter for some help , since i am a member there . As many of you known , member do get priviledges . But luck wasnt by my side as they were always full each time i rang for an appointment . So disappointed .

benefit brow bar at Tangs orchard then came across my mind . Paying for slightly more , i assume that its got to be good , not to mention the professionalism the girls had . yup , i had mine ..... WAXED !!!! YES , eyebrows WAXED !!

i totally didnt know that their eyebrow service was a waxing one until the brow stylist told me to fill up a form that has questions like ,
" are you a Retin A user ?"
" do you have any allergies to wax?"

i was numb but still had the guts to continue with the service , all because i want my brows to be groomed . and boy , was i pleased !

let me tell you why .

i was asked to sit on a stool .
every procedure she made , the brow stylist would prompt me even when asking permission to answer the counter's phone call .
she combed my brows to see the shape and get me a mirror to look before she proceed to the next step .
before any waxing was done on my brows , she tested on my hand . at least i am well prepared on how warm the wax will be . just so to make me less shocked .  
step by step , she did . the pain was bearable .
after which , she applied aloe vera gel on my skin .
and of course ending the service by shading my brows with their Brow Zing and High Brow to make my brows look better than ever .

the result ?
neater , cleaner and of course so much better .

Ace Lee , the brow stylist suggested me to sign up for a package but if you must know , i just love to try other places and prefer not to commit on one just like i did with Browhaus but ended up not going there consistently . The thing was , Ace wasnt pushy . Thats what i like most .

My pleasant experience with Benefit Brow Bar was a good one and will definitely recommend to those who wants to try waxing for their brows .

cosmetics no ? more ?

i have been trying to skip my trip of going to places like Sephora or the beauty counters in town but these eyes of mine just couldnt handle much .


was at Topshop yesterday to look at their accessories for this season but nothing fancy me until i saw their make up collections . to my surprise , as much as their apparels can go pricey , the cosmetics doesnt . it was , i must say , very reasonable for a teenage girl to even grab . really !!


the make up stylist who was there at Ion Orchard was very pleasantly pretty and helpful . the packaging was simple but whats most important was definitely how these makeup look on us plus the fact that the price for such was ultra affordable , i bet youngsters may not want to look elsewhere for one that has a name and still look good .

didnt i told ya im looking for accessories ? me ended up buying a few of them and i love them to bits . the lip balm 's moisture content lasted me the whole day and being pigmented as well , i dont have to put on my lippie . save time . what attracted me most was their blusher . not the cream ones as i have oily skin so creamy texture wont do me any good . do you ever encounter those days when you are super busy and by the time you check out the mirror , your rosy cheeks left half-ly rosy ? and you didnt bother to do some touch-up because it definitely was a hassle having to take out your brush and apply on your cheeks . well , fret no more as Topshop's powder blush in a brush was not only too cute to bring along in your cosmetic pouch  but definitely very handy . its a must-have item because it added glow to your skin with that little sparkle in their powder . here's what i bought and looking forward to try their crayons .

WALKING WITH DINOSAURS

it was featured in a magazine when i first knew about this . and later it was on the television and when i go to work , it was on every lamp post ( to advertise and promote ) in town . and i knew i will definitely go , bringing who else but the spouse and the teenage brother . it was somehow like a payback time to my brother as i didnt get for him what he wanted when he asked something from me . but im not a bad sister , really ! *rolled eyes*

this one was planned well without the husband knowing . yes , its a little treat from me being an advanced birthday gift as well as our two years wedding anniversary celebration . ( that is why choosing a wedding date near or ON your birthday is definitely good as you can kill 2 birds with a stone , heh ) .

until the day itself , Mr did not know where we going . i used the GPS on my iphone to guide him the way to Singapore Indoor Stadium . yerlah finally i thanked this apps for doing me a deed . too much depending on the technology , we were stucked because the road that GPS guided us was close for some road works . and it was already 14:35 when the show going to start at 1500hours . i got panicky and told the husband that we were actually heading to the indoor stadium . the minute he heard indoor stadium , too many questions asked .

and when we arrived , theres children everywhere . he got puzzled , thinking we were catching some Barney show . it was full house ! i couldnt took any pictures of the dinosaurs as we were not allowed too . anyways heres a picture minutes before the show started .

and i knew that i should have bought the tix that was of a closer view to the dinosaurs . it was definitely an interesting show , more upclose with the look-like real ones .
it was a breath-taking one indeed !

mak - anak story

sometimes little acts of a mom and their kids made my day . and in this case was when a mom get annoyed with his son and said ,

" tsk ... you dont make my blood go upstairs la !!  "

that was a real singlish nowadays we use to converse . the hilarious part was how the boy answered ,

" how your blood go upstairs ? take staircase hah ?? "

i couldnt stop laughing looking and hearing what was happening . Albeit mummy do not have the heart to scold the young one , hearing how he replied .

after FIVE years

she was under my care when we worked together back in Leonard Drake , five years ago . and she was only nineteen back then , came all the way from the beautiful country of Phillipines for OJT ( on the job training ) .

she was in Singapore for six solid months but it seemed to me that its been six years that we were together .
at work , i am one serious employee . so when i had the opportunity to guide Marianne , i groomed her to be a good one . my other colleagues kept telling me not to bully her , which of course i didnt do it deliberately because like i mentioned earlier , i am one serious bee !

i still remembered the days where we strolled down the whole of Orchard Road , from Plaza Singapura to Far East Plaza , grab an ice-cream and happily chat along the way . Marianne was not just a working colleague but more than that . there was a day where she spent her day at my place , doing facial  and mum would cook breakfast for her . yes we were that close . and i missed all the precious moments i had with her as soon as she bid farewell to us .

and now , after five years later , shes back AGAIN !!! all the way from Phillipines . a totally new Marianne . she has become more confident , slimmer , slender , and i love her hair NOW ! back then, we encourage her to cut her hair shorter . maybe because we thought shorter will look younger ? imagine thick bob hair ? it was a disaster . she was in Singapore for four days and i had the opportunity to spend time with her . she was still as sweet as before , one of her traits that never change .

i am hoping that she will be back again for good this time round so that i can have other days to shop with her . see you real soon !!
