makan

Today I want to share with you where were the places that we last went to fill our tummy .

I was super craving for sambal stingray and as usual , we went to Newton and visit this Siti Khadijah stall each time we head there . I didnt notice the stall number , as we the hungry giants were so engrossed in choosing what to order . Perhaps the next time , I will definitely share with you so that you can try their stingray and sambal sotong !! Super power la ;)))

We wanted the fried little squid but unfortunately they dont have it . And so the friendly lady suggested this sambal sotong . Dont you think that it looks good from the picture ? I tell you , we went crazy over this . Its sizzling hot and spicy but it kept us going because it was ultra sedaaaap !!! We will definitely come back again for this sambal sotong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

look at this fish . Honestly speaking , I wasnt much impressed . The sambal wasnt rich like it used to . Nevertheless , it was still yummy .

And how can we not missing this kailan for our vege ? The vege was cooked freshly , best eaten with the sprinkled fried onions . Simply yummy . hmmmmm....

Enough of seafood , occasionally we loved to eat western ones too just like Swensens , Manhattan Fish Market and etc . I remembered about an article in a magazine featuring Western Chow , yes another halal western cuisine but didnt manage to try it out until one fine day .

Did your eyes saw the big halal logo ? It was situated in a coffee shop in Bishan . For those who stay near Hougang or Sengkang can also pop over to their another store in Lorong Ah Soo . The amazing part was the bill . It was way much cheaper than Botak Favourites too !!

The only thing I was a bit unhappy was the number of salt they sprinkled on the fries . You saw ?? tsk tsk tsk ....

You can see that the fries was definitely trans-fat ! Now that I think , its the price verses the quality . So on days where pocket running a hole and you crave for a western food , run to Western Chow .

Next , have any one of you tried any halal vietnamese food ? We often passby this one but was hesitate to try until I thought of trying as we had no idea where to eat . At times , our mind went blanked .
Assist by the waiter , we then ordered these :-

it was defintely something new for us . vietnamese used less spice in their food and if you want to eat something thats healthy , go for Orange Lantern at Harbourfront .

Sweet little tooth

Chocolates especially from Van Houten , the first brand of chocolate and ice-cream are those of my escapades ,should I need little energy . Aside from all these fattening tools , I am a cheesecake junkie !
I just love to eat them and often went on cloud nine when it just melts in your mouth .

The only moments when I get to own them was only when I craved for it and only head down to Secret Recipe for they have a wide spread of cheesecakes that are Halal . Their award-winning marble cheesecake are simply awesome . Forget about the sinfulness , please .

Recently I'd taste a caramel cheesecake at Aunty Jun's place with the Jumalis . Rarely , a host would have cheesecake during Eid and when I took a bite of it , it was yummy that one piece was not enough . Well , never enough for me . And even more happier to know that it was made by the beautiful Sis Yanti , my cousin in-law . Didnt I told you that I always support my family members ?

So we placed an order of cheesecake after trying the different flavours at Sis Yanti's crib .

Just look at the thickness of this cheesecake !!!! Now, Im going to the freezer to have some .

And just look at this ! the strawberry are all over the place . According to Sis Yanti , she did not use puree but real fruits so the taste is so original .

Im glad to know that she made other flavours too .

- MALT CHOCOLATE MARBLE
  BLUEBERRY
  OREO
  CHOCOLATE MARBLE
  CHOCOLATE + CARAMEL MARBLE
  CARAMEL
  MANGO
  STRAWBERRY
  LEMON

I am so eager to try the other flavours . I bet they are too, sinfully delicious for my throat .
You want ?

the one i have to walked with .

Apart from the craze that I personally have for shawls , I am now obsessed with shoes . Not that I dont previously , but it seemed to me that it had grewn big . For those who never met me before , I am blessed with a height of 1.56m tall . Therefore , I always hooked with heels , wedges or platform whenever I wanted to buy and put on to make me look tall and walked with confidence , heh. Rarely , I had my sandals or slip-ons unless going to the market or the beach . I used to love Charles and Keith collection and bought a couple of  pairs from there . Aldo ones were just as good , I love their designs too . Not forgetting Pedro and one of my friend's favourite Nine West .

And just when I wanted to have a pair but there's a slight hole in the lil pocket of mine , I will just wait for SALE  !
Apparently there have been quite a number of online businesswomen who sold shawls , brooches , clothes , cosmetics , contact lense (amazing but its true ! ) ,bags and even shoes ! I can never buy shoes online for fear that it might not fit me as I am one with a broad feet even when measurements are given . Well , that have always been my idea when it comes to shoes . No matter how gorgeous the shoes looked and how much I wanted to buy , the fear was always there.
" what if it doesnt fit me ? ... what if nobody wants to buy if I cant fit ? ... what if the quality is bad ? ..."
So much worries went on my head UNTIL I lay my eyes on this gorgeous , beautiful pair with such a reasonable and affordable price that I guarantee there wasnt sold in any of the boutiques mentioned above . I thought about it for a few days before the pre-order close and finally rest my mind off when I decided to buy even when my closest kin told me its a simple design which doesnt WOWed her , as the mms was sent to her .

Guess what ? When the pair came on my hands , I was very much satisfied and went berserk for once as the pair was way much gorgeous than on the picture . The glitters you saw , is true to touch and not of those that is matte or gloss finishing .  And it was very very very comfy ! No blisters at all till now . The dear sister got Wowed this time when I show her the pair . Kudos to Fyda Nizam for bringing in this piece and was patient with me throughout the entire weeks of waiting . This blink is exceptionally just for Eid apart from my other Jeffrey Campbell inspired black heels .
Now , no more worries of buying shoes online . They are just the same as the normal shoes you bought at the malls .If you are a size 6 and most of your shoes are size 7 , then go for 7. Thats my lil advise .  The extra bonus you got here was the designs that seemed like nowhere to be found with such a great price to pay , and I love it every bits . Huuhuuu ....

I bought another pair , this time supporting my dear cuzzie at http://www.skeenster.tumblr.com/ . It was love at first sight and never did I regret it . When I receive it , I was thrilled !!! My first ever red suede shoes with an edge . Ooo la la ...

One of my favourite is also XQUISIS from facebook . Add her up if you havent , they brought in gorgeous designs at an affordable yet reasonable price . Ive yet to buy any from XQUISIS but been eyeing a pair to two .. wooots woots ..

What shoes you are wearing tells so much  of a person . Be different , be extra different !

random sharing on cosmetics

Apparently there have been quite a number of friends asking me about the cosmetics I have been wearing . Probably the pictures that Ive uploaded in facebook , make them more curious on how do I get that look . Therefore I decide to blog about it today .

Cosmetics are individuals , I must say . You may like this colour of shadow or lippie but it may not suit me . But be BOLD and have fun playing with colours , you will certainly look good .  The safest eye technique for a newbie , would be smokey look . It doesnt have to be black to get the smokey effect but you can play with dark browns and the brown family . Or even dark blue or dark green . Well , anything dark ;)
Why smokey look again is the safest because it takes a lot of effort and skill to balance both eye colours together . And by having smokey look , it just stays right . On the days when my eyeliner got smudge , I didnt panicked as it wasnt much obvious for people to take noticed . heh , i like . Just before I miss , putting on Doll Me Up Eyeshadow base is a must before you swipe your eye colours onto your lids . I love the base so much because it make my eye colours more intense and pigmented and for such a big packaging , it last very long . You know , I am one with oily eyelids and its so damn frustrating when the colours get so dirty and crease appears . Now, I dont have to fret anymore .

Oh yes , another tips when you have dark brows . Do not use black or dark brown to shade your brows . You will look just like a horrible monster . Yikes !! What I would advise is to go for something light . Your brows will be more soft and subtle . I have black brows , real black . And what I use was Chanel eyebrow pencil in blonde . My all -time favourite cos its soft to touch and when I made a mistake , it can be easily erased.

And with an intense colour on the eyes , go plain on the lips . Either a gloss will do or opt for a nude colour lippie . Honeylove from Mac cosmetics was make-up artist Wiwit 's fave . Mine is still Angel from Mac . I have been wearing it for years and still love it ;)

Shu Umuera and Mac have quite a fair numbers of nice lashes ! Get those volumise ones pleeease ! Honestly , whats the point of you wearing falsies if you just wanted to look natural ? Save all the time , glue-ing your falsies and apply mascara ! My favourite is Zoom lash from mac . Reasonable price for a nice volumatic lashes recommended by I NOUVI make up artist . Yves Saint Lauren have very good mascaras too . Try their volume mascaras !!

Of all , you can never miss putting on the most important one on your face and that is what else if not FOUNDATION . Truth be told , Make up forever ones is still my utmost top list . You can have a peaceful and more personal one-to-one with the make up artist over at their boutique at Stamford house , City hall . Amidst from the crowded ones at sephora . However , I do love Double Wear from Estee lauder . When I put on , it doesnt go cakey and with a little dot , it covers my flaws too .

Make up is not only for the young and pretty ones , you too can have the desire look that you want with a little bit of effort . Should you need my service , email me at rosniyati05@yahoo.com.sg as Im doing freelance now ;)

Happy dolling :)
