MANDALA AIR

I know , most of you are just like me . Unheard of Mandala Air . When I first heard about it , I don't know which country is this airline from . Which terminal does it land in Singapore , how much is the air fares like , how does the steward and stewardess dress like and other curious questions that you often asked when you never heard of the name .

Don't fret much over it , Mandala Air is just a few days young when I blog this entry . Their very first flight was on the 25th June 2010 at terminal 2 , Singapore . It was one of the lowest fare among Tiger Airways , Lion Air , JetStar and etc . We made a booking to Jakarta for an event held on 26th June 2010 . Because of the misleading website , three of us booked a wrong date but only to realise after we have already confirmed and made the payment . The result ? NO Exchangable , No Refund , No Cancellation . Our money got burnt ! We called Mandala Air at Jakarta to explain the problem and hope they will be able to help and resolve the matter but true to the rules and regulation , we can't get our money back ;(

So we booked again this time . Mr. and me booked the flight within 48 hours because we were too busy beforehand and thought it will be alright to just book later . What happen this time round ? Mandala Air does not accept any credit card payment within 48 hours of travel . We were stucked at moment of seconds . Mr.called Mandala Air to get help . Now , why must we booked Mandala Air , you must think ? Its all due to the time that only Mandala Air being one of the lowest fare , have the time to depart that we want . Period . Mr talked to the staff for 15 minutes and they kept repeating on the problem . No solving is made . Until Mr was so furious hence increase his volume and finally after 18 minutes , the staff told Mr to go to Changi Airport counter to make payment . Booking was already confirmed . Afterwhich , we slept .

The next day when he went to airport to make the payment , he was surprised that Mandala counter have not yet open . So he waited and when its operation starts , the staff told him that he cant make any payment now and come back later 2 hours before we depart to make the payment . Well, our departure time was at 620am . At 4:00 am , we went to make the payment but they couldnt receive our payment because the staff told us that the booking was not confirmed . They couldn't accept us . We were so so so mad !!!! Crazy , isn't it ???

We waited as told by the staff that he will help us to check with Lion Air but can't confirmed if there's any flight to Jakarta . We knew there wasn't any morning flight from Lion Air so we do not want to take any more risked and checked immediately which airline was available there and then . Never mind whether its low fare or not . We just want to be at Jakarta on time . Thanks to our I-Phones for being so helpful .

After all the dramas , we ended up taking GARUDA AIRLINES . Double the price , double the service but we were much way satisfied .

Moral of the story ? Never ever take Mandala Air . We had enough !!

No ... don't go to the website ! Come on folks , have you ever seen aunty , a-mah , uncle cleaning your tables after or before you eat ? Seeing them sweeping , moping the floor . I am very sure you did and I for once never imagine if I were to be like them when I reach their age . I want to retire early , spend quality time with my family , go holidays and travel around the world . That is my dream . Don't you dare laugh because I will make my own dreams come true ! And definitely not working when my bones lack of calcium , when I am too tired to even stand at long hours . Can you imagine yourself working still ,when you should be resting at home and play with your grand-kids ??

This Uncle , despite being at the age of 71 and fit , he is still working .

This pakcik , still proudly working as Land Survey Assistant at the age of 61 .

68 , still contributing to the society as an Assistant Professor ?

I foresee that the longer I stay in Singapore , the more the government will increase the retirement age , which is not what I want . Today at the age of 28 , I am building my wealth for my future . I do not see myself having odd jobs or contributing more to the nation . At a ripe old age , I should be enjoying myself with my loved ones and I guess I have already done enough to the society .

I have this soft spot for shaylas or they called it shawls . I believe those who hijab just like me , would have the same interest . Apart from shopping and search for clothes , bags and shoes which we definitely have more than a pair , hijabis like me would head down to Arab Street or even Geylang Serai to shop for a gorgeous 'tudung' . Thanks to the new generation now , we are I.T savvy . Most of us would love to shop online . Save the fares to hop on a public transport , save the fuel to get Mr. to send me over to the boutiques and best of all , I save my time . Cool isn't it ? Just click , click and make payment via Ibanking . Everything is so convenient . Heh .

There are so many websites to browse through and get hooked to their designs but for now , I am so much in love with IZANN MUTUAL DESIRE via facebook . On my personal point of view , IMD delivers such unique pieces and so gorgeous to make a lady even more prettier . Their pieces are limited yet exclusive so I really have to type my fingers fast enough to reserve the piece that I want . An added bonus to my shopping with IMD was , of its friendly and warmth service I receive from Sis Izann herself . She is a beautiful lady , herself . She modelled the pieces and make all hijabis thirst to have a piece for oneself , just like me .

When I receive the shaylas a few days back , I was thrilled to open the parcel . Amazingly , I fall for it . I am truly satisfied with the pieces that I bought cos having to pay for a price equals the quality that I get . And because the parcel was sent via registered mail at granny's place , mum was there to witness what I've bought . To my surprise , she didn't nag like she used to . You know , mums ?? They will nag at their kids for shopping this and that . Yeah I'm a big girl now . Married even so ,whats the nag for ? Ok ok side-track liao ..

I put on , one by one while Mum watched how I adorn them . She nodded and say "Cantik ! " which means beautiful in malay . I strongly agreed , happily . My mum have a good taste for everything . She have always want her children to look good . And when its not good in her eyes , she meant really well . Anyways , we love IMD !! And definitely be back for more .

SPECIAL RECOGNITION

I am suppose-sing-ly to say my THANK YOU speech on the stage and share with more than 1000 people in Jakarta but I think its going to be a pretty long one that a one minute sharing is not enough for me .

Hence, I decided to share this in here .

Remember my previous entry on the Life Changing Bootcamp ? Yes , this time round its Arina , Syazwan and Alvin's turn to participate . Let me share with you a little bit about them .

Pardon Arina's face as she was tensed answering calls from the loved ones . Honestly , I dont know them at all . Yes we were real strangers until they were introduced to Ffg (Freedom Faithnet Global ). And I 'm proud to have them in our FFG group . They were young but yet have big dreams and dare to take risk . They think of their future , they want to be the agent of change . I , really admire their spirits !!

Arina , a bubbly little girl , but yet so demure . Once you can get along with her , she can be very chatty and friendly that you forgot she was once a shy pie . The only one thing that I for once can never forget is , she loves to frown . She will frown when you try to explain things , she will frown when you are answering her queries . Perhaps thats her habit ;/

Syazwan , is actually Arina's other half . To be honest , he's lack of confidence the first time I met him . When he talked , he tends to look down . Only after a while with Ffg , he changed . Slowly his confidence level build up . And he thirst for success ! Syazwan will go all the way up to fight for what he want and I truly respect him for that . At times , I couldnt believe that at such a young age , he's able to inspire people and make himself proud . Yet , he is still humble .

Alvin . He 's Syazwan mate . Still new to say much about him . But he is the Mr Cool guy . Take things easily . Chilled and relax .

I believe Bootcamp will unleashed their inner potential ! They will be back to Singapore more stronger than before !!

this is a pretty much late entry . it was a couple of weeks back only to take a glimpse of the snaps of pictures taken , today .

we were @ vivo when we came across a new yoghurt stall with very fresh and young ladies welcoming us . hence , we try . theres a few flavours to choose from . Oreo , chocolate , mango,vanilla and etc . the best part is , we can scooped the toppings we want , with over more than 9 toppings to choose from . BUT no refill ya ! some of the toppings that we choose . yum yum !

Will definitely be back for more . Now I have other options apart from the classic YUMMY YOGHURT ;)

I AM a YEAR WISER

..... But still young at heart . heh .


If I can still remember Mum gave birth to me on the very 5th June 1982 , 28 years ago with me weighing 2.8kg at Alexandra Hospital . Today I am blessed . I am blessed to be able to live and see the world . I am blessed to be married to the nicest man on earth in my eyes , Fadzil . I am blessed that I am in FFG community ! I love my family , friends and truly I am glad and happy the way I am now .

There are so many things I want in life . So many wishes . So many dreams . And I know , my dreams will eventually come true ! Soon , its just a matter of time .


Sometimes there are things you actually want but it didnt happen . it didnt turn out the way I want . Funny it is , that what I wanted was a pair of shoes . A nice one . Probably from Pedro ;) But the mind is quick to change to a patchwork shawl in Bussorah Street . One of my favourite ~ Silk Studio . Thank you so much to my dearest Husband for making the trip there to get what I want . Yayness !


JOHN C . MAXWELL was one of my favourite author . It was , since Mentor Yin Fan introduced SUCCESS 101 to me . The book was amazingly written . And I am truely delighted to receive another 2 great books from Mentor Josephine & Mentor Bazliel as my birthday gift . Thank you so much . Both of you are making my dream come true . Few weeks back , when me and the Mr. went to Times Bookstore, I dream that we will have a bookrack full of John C.Maxwell books. And we certainly , going to do just that when our new home are ready in 2 years time . ;) Indeed , its Law of Attraction .

a used-to-be makeup addicts ?

I have been very passionate in dolling people's skin . Yes , unfortunately just the skin . I love to make them up with colours . Its one of my favourite past time apart from going shopping and catching up a movie . And perhaps that is why I ended up being in a beauty industry for more than 4 years .

I remember inviting my cousin n friends up over to my home just to have a simple makeover without the professional photographer . Haha .. those were the days ;)

So , you see ..I am so into it . You bring me to any cosmetic counters , I bet you will love me as a customer . Every single item from shadows to the lips , I would love to try . Madness isnt it ?

The irony of all , though my passion is still strong and no doubt that I have tons of cosmetics , I dont really put on much now as compared to last time . I seriously dont know why .

Perhaps I really must make use of it before it come to A waste ..
